Maryland High School Basketball - New Hope Academy nips Seneca Valley

December 27, 2023: Landover Hills, MD 20784

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the New Hope Academy (Landover Hills, MD) and the visiting Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD), saw New Hope Academy's basketball squad hold off Seneca Valley by a count of 74-69.

With the victory, New Hope Academy upgrades its record to 7-12 on the campaign. The travel to Avalon (Wheaton, MD) to play the Black Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Avalon lost 71-69 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Germantown, MD)

Next up, the Screamin' Eagles play the Gaithersburg Trojans (Gaithersburg, MD) in a Montgomery 4A West challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Seneca Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
