White River Valley Wolverines (Switz City, IN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN), 45-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, White River Valley upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Wolverines host Eminence (Eminence, IN) to play the Eels in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Eels go into the bout with a record of 1-9. Eminence lost 77-37 in their recent league bout against Indianapolis Washington (Indianapolis, IN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. New Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Bluejackets go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 63-49 league loss to Orleans (Orleans, IN).
