North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines topped by Triton

December 27, 2023: Cameron, NC 28326

The Triton Hawks basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Union Pines Vikings to 55 in the Hawks non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Hawks now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern Nash for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Triton will battle a Firebirds team coming off a 48-46 non-league loss to Fike (Wilson, NC). The Firebirds record now stands at 5-4.

The Vikings (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars come into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Overhills dropped by Apex (Apex, NC), 57-55, in a non-league contest.
