North Carolina High School Basketball - Valor Preparatory Academy trounced by Union Academy

December 27, 2023: Concord, NC 28027

The Union Academy Cardinals routed the host Valor Preparatory Academy Owls basketball team by a final score of 85-51 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 29. Union Academy will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Comets enter the game with a 9-2 record after their 56-34 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC).

With the defeat, Valor Preparatory Academy moves to 3-5 on the year. The Owls travel to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC) to face the Patriots in a 1A Metro 8 game on Friday, January 5. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 7-3. Piedmont Community Charter won 80-60 in their recent non-league game against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)
