Gorman Panthers (Gorman, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Valley Mills Eagles (Valley Mills, TX), 63-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gorman upgrades its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lingleville (Lingleville, TX) to play the Cardinals in a 1A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 5-8. Lingleville won 50-11 in their recent league bout against Three Way (Stephenville, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Coleman Bluecats (Coleman, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Valley Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Bluecats come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 50-27 non-league loss to Huckabay (Stephenville, TX).
