With the win, Lufkin upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lake Belton (Temple, TX) to clash with the Broncos in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Lake Belton lost 51-43 in their recent non-league bout against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Hillcrest will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 68-44 non-league loss to Lake Belton (Temple, TX).
