Alabama High School Basketball - Hoover routs Sumter County

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA), by a margin of 49-19.

The Buccaneers (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL). The Trojans go into the non-league outing with a 15-3 record. In their last outing, Hazel Green was trounced by Miami Country Day (Miami, FL), 49-45, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Grove for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 28. Sumter County will play a Spartans squad coming off a 61-33 non-league loss to Trinity Presbyterian (Montgomery, AL). The Spartans record now stands at 9-5.
