Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Nashua South Purple Panthers (Nashua, NH) and the visiting Souhegan Sabers (Amherst, NH), saw Nashua South's basketball squad wallop Souhegan by a tally of 48-20.

With the victory, Nashua South improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Purple Panthers travel to Trinity (Manchester, NH) to confront the Pioneers in a Division I challenge on Friday, January 5. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 0-5.

Next up, the Sabers confront the Hanover Bears (Hanover, NH) in a Division II challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Souhegan will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 48-36 non-league loss to Brooklyn Law & Tech (Brooklyn, NY).
