Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Tolleson Wolverines (Tolleson, AZ), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Cesar Chavez Champions (Laveen, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Sunrise Mountain will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Champions enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ).

The Wolverines now have a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Apollo for a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28.
