Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Armstrong knocks off East Hardy

December 27, 2024: Kittanning, PA 16201

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) and the visiting East Hardy Cougars (Baker, WV), observed Armstrong's basketball team overcome East Hardy by a margin of 70-59.

The River Hawks (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA). The Cavaliers come into the WPIAL 5A 2 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Kiski Area dropped by Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA), 63-57, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Tucker County Mountain Lions (Hambleton, WV) in a Potomac Valley A challenge, on Monday, December 30. East Hardy will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 79-53 non-league win over Lincoln (Shinnston, WV).
