In Friday's non-league contest, the host Ashland Grizzlies basketball team scored a good 75-65 triumph over the Dayton Pirates.
The Grizzlies (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cascade Christian (Medford, OR). The Challengers go into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Cascade Christian topped Creswell (Creswell, OR), 60-46, in a non-league contest.
