In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Bridges Prep Buccaneers basketball team scored a close 44-38 triumph over the Bethesda Academy Blazers.

The Buccaneers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Memorial Day (Savannah, GA). The Matadors go into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Memorial Day nipped Faith Baptist Christian Academy (Ludowici, GA), 48-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Blazers battle the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors (Ehrhardt, SC) in a SCISA 2A Region III contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Bethesda Academy will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 8-3 record after their 59-52 non-league win over Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC).
