In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Bunker Hill Minutemen basketball team scored a big 72-31 win over the East Alton-Wood River Oilers.

The Minutemen (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Hiltoppers come into the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Hillsboro was trounced by Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 58-51, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Oilers battle the Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. East Alton-Wood River will attempt to better on its 1-13 season record. The Miners come into the contest with a 1-10 record after their 70-27 non-league loss to Staunton (Staunton, IL).
