Georgia High School Basketball - Central thwarts Calhoun

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) and the visiting Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA), observed Central's basketball team knock off Calhoun by a score of 56-41.

The Lions (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Model (Rome, GA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Model prevailed over Rockmart (Rockmart, GA), 68-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Discovery Titans (Lawrenceville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 59-35 non-league win over Wesleyan (Norcross, GA).
