The Cheyenne Desert Shields basketball squad (North Las Vegas, NV), was outscored 62-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK)

With the victory, South Anchorage advances its record to 1-4 on the year. The Wolverines host Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 4-4. Damonte Ranch lost 79-66 in their recent non-league battle against Chaparral (Las Vegas, NV)

The Desert Shields now own a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Somerset Sky Pointe for a 4A Desert battle on Monday, January 6. Cheyenne will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 73-46 non-league loss to Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Eagles record now stands at 5-8.
