The Yellowjackets (5-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Burleson (Burleson, TX). The Elks come into the 5A Region I District 8 challenge with a 16-8 record. In their last challenge, Burleson was knocked off by Medina Valley (Castroville, TX), 66-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Trimble Tech Bulldogs (Fort Worth, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 30. Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-16 record after their 71-36 league loss to South Hills (Fort Worth, TX).
