In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Kingwood Park Panthers basketball team scored a good 66-51 triumph over the Dawson Eagles.
The Panthers (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Broncos go into the 5A Region III District 18 contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Dayton prevailed over Splendora (Splendora, TX), 62-53, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 61-36 league loss to Manvel (Manvel, TX).
