The Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) basketball were winner over the host Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX), 62-53 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Plainsmen now possess a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to White for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Monterey will play a Longhorns team coming off a 71-40 non-league win over Midland Christian (Midland, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Everman falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX) to confront the Wolves in a 5A Region I District 8 game on Friday, January 3. The Wolves go into the game with a record of 14-4. Mansfield Timberview won 65-26 in their recent league game against Burleson (Burleson, TX)
