The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) and the host Goldwater Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ), observed Fairfax's basketball team knock off Goldwater by a score of 62-46.

The Stampede (6-9) will now prepare for their challenge against La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ). The Fighting Lobos come into the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, La Joya Community prevailed over Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ), 37-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Greenway Demons (Phoenix, AZ) in a 4A Skyline challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Goldwater will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 63-60 non-league loss to Estrella Foothills (Goodyear, AZ).
