In Friday's non-league contest, the host Lanier Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 68-25 win over the Forest Bearcats.

The Bulldogs (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Greenville (Greenville, MS). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Greenville was trounced by Callaway (Jackson, MS), 65-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bearcats battle the Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) in a 4A Region 5 contest, on Friday, January 3. Forest will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 10-5 record after their 75-41 league win over Quitman (Quitman, MS).
