The Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) basketball edged the host Tyler Knights (Sistersville, WV), 49-44 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Cadets now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Caldwell for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 2.

With the loss, Tyler falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Liberty Union lost 58-46 in their recent league bout against Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH)
