The Hazelwood West Wildcats basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Waynesville Tigers to 53 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now have a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hazelwood East for a Suburban - Green game on Tuesday, January 7. Hazelwood West will confront a Spartans team coming off a 65-59 non-league win over Fort Zumwalt North (O'Fallon, MO). The Spartans record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Waynesville falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Republic (Republic, MO) to confront the Tigers in a Central Ozarks game on Friday, January 3. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 8-0. Republic won 64-49 in their recent non-league battle against Bolivar (Bolivar, MO)
