Next, the Spartans encounter the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 28. Orono will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Kernels come into the test with a 3-0 record after their 61-47 league win over Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD).

The Mustangs (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN). The Eagles come into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Totino-Grace was nipped by East Ridge (Woodbury, MN), 71-62, in a non-league test.
