The Vandegrift Vipers basketball squad (Austin, TX), was nudged 56-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX)

With the victory, Lake Creek advances its record to 11-11 on the year. The Lions travel to Del Valle (Del Valle, TX) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. The Cardinals enter the battle with a record of 9-8. Del Valle won 71-68 in their recent league battle against Lake Travis (Austin, TX)

The Vipers now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hendrickson for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. Vandegrift will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 57-55 league win over Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 5-13.
