Virginia High School Basketball - Unity Reed nudges Loudoun County

December 27, 2024: Leesburg, VA 20175

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Unity Reed Lions (Manassas, VA) and the host Loudoun County Captains (Leesburg, VA), observed Unity Reed's basketball team edge Loudoun County by a score of 63-61.

The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ballou (Washington, DC). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Ballou was tipped by Dunbar (Washington, DC), 59-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Captains encounter the Justice Wolves (Falls Church, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Loudoun County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 60-43 league loss to Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA).
