California High School Basketball - Marquez defeats Ponderosa

The Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) basketball were winner over the host Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), 62-51 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Gladiators now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Roosevelt for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 2. Marquez will play a Rough Riders team coming off a 83-51 non-league loss to Marshall (Los Angeles, CA). The Rough Riders record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Ponderosa falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Bellflower (Bellflower, CA) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Bellflower lost 53-50 in their recent non-league bout against Beckman (Irvine, CA)
