In Friday's non-league contest, the host South Plainfield Tigers basketball team scored a good 63-53 win over the McNair Academic Cougars.
The Tigers (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Morris Knolls was topped by Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ), 68-30, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Lincoln Lions (Jersey City, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. McNair Academic will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 67-31 non-league win over Gateway Regional (Woodbury Heights, NJ).
