Next, the Panthers clash with the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 28. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Bobcats come into the test with a 13-6 record after their 62-46 non-league win over United (Laredo, TX).

The Cougars (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Klein Cain (Houston, TX). The Hurricanes come into the 6A Region II District 15 test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, Klein Cain was nipped by Klein Collins (Spring, TX), 59-42, in a league test.
