The Towns County Indians basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Murphy Bulldogs to 65 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Franklin for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. Towns County will play a Panthers team coming off a 82-52 non-league win over Polk County (Benton, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Murphy falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Highlands (Highlands, NC) to play the Highlanders in a non-league game on Monday, January 6. The Highlanders go into the game with a record of 3-6. Highlands lost 71-28 in their recent non-league game against Andrews (Andrews, NC)
