The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN) and the visiting Waldron Mohawks (Waldron, IN), observed New Washington's basketball team edge Waldron by a score of 66-64.
The Mustangs (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern (Pekin, IN). The Musketeers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Eastern was edged by Milan (Milan, IN), 71-62, in a non-league bout.
With the loss, Waldron falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Rock Creek Academy (Sellersburg, IN) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Rock Creek Academy won 62-50 in their recent non-league bout against St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV)
