West Virginia High School Basketball - Preston trounced by Spring Valley

December 27, 2024: Huntington, WV 25704

The Preston Knights basketball squad (Kingwood, WV), was crushed 78-57 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV)

With the victory, Spring Valley advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Timberwolves travel to Ironton (Ironton, OH) to meet the Fighting Tigers in a non-league battle on Monday, December 30. The Fighting Tigers enter the battle with a record of 2-1. Ironton won 73-35 in their recent league battle against Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH)

The Knights now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Albans for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. Preston will meet a Red Dragons squad coming off a 74-67 non-league win over Musselman (Inwood, WV). The Red Dragons record now stands at 1-3.
