Illinois High School Basketball - Sycamore overwhelms West Chicago

December 27, 2024: West Chicago, IL 60185

The Sycamore Spartans basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host West Chicago Wildcats to 24 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to LaSalle-Peru for a Interstate Eight game on Saturday, January 4. Sycamore will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 71-40 non-league loss to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, West Chicago falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL) to confront the Raiders in a Upstate Eight game on Friday, January 3. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 4-6. Glenbard South won 52-44 in their recent non-league game against Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL)
