The Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) basketball were winner over the visiting Simi Valley Pioneers (Simi Valley, CA), 61-53 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Centurions now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host West Ranch for a bout on Friday, January 24.

With the loss, Simi Valley falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Burroughs (Burbank, CA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Monday, December 30. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Burroughs lost 74-42 in their recent non-league bout against El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA)
