In Friday's non-league test, the Aliquippa Quips (Aliquippa, PA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Monessen Greyhounds (Monessen, PA), by a score of 74-17.

Next, the Quips clash with the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 2. Aliquippa will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record.

The Greyhounds (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Freedom Area was routed by Rochester (Rochester, PA), 73-40, in a league test.
