The Melrose Dutchmen overwhelmed the visiting Carlton/Wrenshall basketball team by a margin of 48-20 in Friday's non-league contest.

The Dutchmen (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN). The Crusaders come into the AA Section 6 contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, St. Cloud Cathedral smashed Concordia Academy/Hand in Hand Christian Montessori (Roseville, MN), 67-34, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the battle the Kelley Mariners (Silver Bay, MN) in a A Section 7 contest, on Monday, December 30. Carlton/Wrenshall will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Mariners come into the contest with a 0-8 record after their 38-32 non-league loss to Denfeld (Duluth, MN).
