Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 48-28 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Catawba Ridge advances its record to 5-6 on the year. The Copperheads host Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC) to meet the Trojans in a AAAAA Region 3 match on Friday, January 3. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 3-6. Northwestern won 46-43 in their recent non-league match against Chester (Chester, SC)

The Rams now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont match on Friday, January 3. Highland Tech will meet a Gryphons squad coming off a 64-57 league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 5-3.
