The Eagles (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Malakoff (Malakoff, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 17-1 record. In their last contest, Malakoff smashed Quitman (Quitman, TX), 44-38, in a league test.

The Mavericks (5-10) will now prepare for their test against Early (Early, TX). The Longhorns come into the 3A Region I District 8 test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Early was routed by Ozona (Ozona, TX), 41-39, in a non-league test.
