The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME) and the visiting Edward Little Red Eddies (Auburn, ME), observed Gray-New Gloucester's basketball team edge Edward Little by a score of 31-28.

The Patriots (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Exeter (Exeter, NH). The Blue Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Exeter edged Portsmouth (Portsmouth, NH), 57-39, in a league bout.

With the loss, Edward Little falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Red eddies travel to Bangor (Bangor, ME) to play the Rams in a AA North bout on Monday, December 30. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Bangor won 62-32 in their recent non-league bout against Deering (Portland, ME)
