The Eagles (14-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Waco (Waco, TX). The Lions come into the 5A Region II District 16 challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Waco dropped by Kingwood (Kingwood, TX), 53-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Azle Hornets (Azle, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Kingwood will attempt to better on its 13-12 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 30-29 league win over Saginaw (Saginaw, TX).
