Pennsylvania High School Basketball - United nips Somerset

In Friday's non-league contest, the host United Lions basketball team scored a close 45-40 win over the Somerset Eagles.

The Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Conemaugh Township edged North Star (Boswell, PA), 42-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Somerset will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 0-5 record after their 50-21 league loss to Windber (Windber, PA).
