In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Westlake Warriors basketball team scored a big 42-16 triumph over the Canyon Cowboys.

The Warriors (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Simi Valley (Simi Valley, CA). The Pioneers go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Simi Valley was trounced by Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA), 84-32, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cowboys confront the Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA) in a contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Canyon will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 54-26 non-league loss to Burroughs (Burbank, CA).
