In Friday's non-league contest, the host Westlake Demons basketball team scored a close 64-60 triumph over the John Marshall Lawyers.

The Demons (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rocky River (Rocky River, OH). The Pirates go into the contest with a 3-2 record.

In their next game, the Lawyers confront the John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles (Cleveland, OH) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. John Marshall will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record.
