Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Scripps Ranch Falcons (San Diego, CA), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Escondido (Escondido, CA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 29. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-8. Escondido lost 75-12 in their recent non-league bout against Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Falcons play the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders (San Marcos, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 29. Scripps Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to West Hills (Santee, CA).
