California High School Basketball - Downey tops Aliso Niguel

Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Aliso Niguel Wolverines (Aliso Viejo, CA), 77-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Downey upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Canyon Springs (North Las Vegas, NV) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Canyon Springs won 69-44 in their recent non-league bout against La Quinta (La Quinta, CA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Aliso Niguel will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 69-44 non-league loss to Canyon Springs (North Las Vegas, NV).
