The Amarillo Sandies basketball team (Amarillo, TX), was nudged 51-48 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Allen Eagles (Allen, TX)

The Eagles now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host McKinney for a 6A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Allen will confront a Lions team coming off a 70-48 non-league loss to Ellison (Killeen, TX). The Lions record now stands at 11-7.

The Sandies (20-2) will now prepare for their battle against Highland Park (Dallas, TX). The Scots come into the non-league battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Highland Park was nudged by Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX), 47-41, in a non-league battle.
