Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC), 61-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Apex Friendship upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Ashe County won 59-57 in their recent non-league bout against Johnson County (Mountain City, TN)

Next up, the Spartans play the Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Central Davidson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 59-57 non-league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
