Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) and the visiting Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ), saw Apollo's basketball squad wallop Tempe by a count of 65-36.

With the victory, Apollo upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Hawks host Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Trojans in a 5A Northwest challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 4-9.

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Dysart Demons (El Mirage, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Tempe will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record.
