Maryland High School Basketball - La Salle College edges Archbishop Spalding

The La Salle College Explorers (Wyndmoor, PA) basketball nipped the host Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD), 49-48 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Explorers (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Benedictine (Richmond, VA). The Cadets go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Benedictine got by Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA), 72-42, in a non-league test.

The Cavaliers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host St. Frances Academy for a non-league test on Monday, January 2. Archbishop Spalding will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 84-75 non-league win over Archbishop Wood (Warminster, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
