Maryland High School Basketball - Archbishop Wood knocked off by St. Frances Academy

The St. Frances Academy Panthers basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting Archbishop Wood Vikings to 75 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Panthers now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop Spalding for a non-league contest on Monday, January 2. St. Frances Academy will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 49-48 non-league loss to La Salle College (Wyndmoor, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-5.
The Vikings (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Penn Hills ran past Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA), 73-49, in a league contest.
