Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Athens Christian Eagles (Athens, GA), 51-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Stephens County upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Indians travel to Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Elbert County lost 77-63 in their recent non-league bout against Loganville (Loganville, GA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Athens Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
